A Fetish for Poetry

Mark Boninsegna (born September 4, 1976) is a poet from the Rotterdam area, The Netherlands.

His style is a somewhat unique style of free-verse combined with classic elements. Modern without forgetting the intensity of the old Greek and Roman tragedies.

Most of the poems are biographic. The reader is led to the eyes of the poet to experience the visitations of the poet. This way the reader will not only read the words but is able to feel them and see the scenery in which it all takes place. To quote Darryl Read about Mark’s poetry: “[…] in Mark’s work a scene is going on, and you get to feel that old Beat route.”
